Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Aaron Makes Websites is run by Aaron Mouland, a sole trader based in Manchester, UK. This policy explains what personal information I collect, why, and what your rights are. Questions? Email support@aaronmakeswebsites.com.
What I collect
- When you contact me: your name, email address, phone number, business details and anything you choose to send.
- Business contact details for outreach: business names, email addresses and public social media pages that businesses publish themselves, for example on Google, Facebook or Instagram.
- When I build your website: the photos, reviews, prices and business information you give me or that you have published publicly.
- Basic website data: my hosting provider (Netlify) keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security. This site does not use advertising cookies.
Why I use it
- To reply to you and provide the services you ask for.
- To contact businesses that may benefit from a website, based on my legitimate interest in offering my services. Every email includes a way to opt out.
- To send invoices and keep the records the law requires.
Who I share it with
I never sell your information. I only share it with the services I use to run the business, such as my email provider (Zoho), my website host (Netlify), my payment provider (Stripe), and a contractor who helps me with research and outreach. Each one only gets what they need.
How long I keep it
Outreach contacts who don't reply are deleted within 12 months. If you ask me not to contact you again, I keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list so I don't email you by mistake. Client and invoice records are kept for 6 years, as UK tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you, or ask me to stop contacting you, at any time. Just email support@aaronmakeswebsites.com. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
