Calm, happy grooms in Chorlton.

I'm Sophie. I groom one dog at a time in my quiet home salon, so there are no cages, no barking and no rush. Just a clean, fluffy dog at the end of it.

What owners say.

"Our cockapoo is terrified of the vet, so I was nervous. Sophie took it so slowly with him and he came out wagging. We're booked in every six weeks now."

"Lovely calm setup, no other dogs barking. She texted me a photo when he was ready. Exactly the cut I asked for."

"Our old girl is 14 with bad hips. Sophie let her lie down for most of it and kept it short. Can't recommend her enough."

About me

Hi, I'm Sophie.

I trained as a groomer in 2018 after years of being the friend everyone asked to trim their dog's fringe. I opened Bramble & Bow in my converted garden room in 2021, because I wanted grooming to feel calm instead of rushed.

I only ever have one dog in at a time. That means I can go at your dog's pace, take breaks when they need them, and actually get to know them.

Every dog welcome

Nervous, tiny or a bit older?

Nervous dogs

No cages and no other dogs. I go slowly, use plenty of treats, and we stop whenever they need a break. A short first visit can help too.

Puppies

A puppy intro gets them used to the bath, dryer and clippers before they need a full groom. Best done before six months.

Older dogs

Shorter sessions, soft mats to lie on, and extra care around stiff joints. Just let me know what they're comfortable with.

FAQ

Good to know.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated?

Yes. Please make sure vaccinations and flea treatment are up to date. Puppies can come for an intro once they've had their second jab.

How often should my dog be groomed?

Most curly and long coats need a full groom every 6 to 8 weeks. Short coats are fine with a bath and tidy every few months.

What if my dog's coat is matted?

I'll always put comfort first. Badly matted coats sometimes need clipping short, and I'll talk you through it before I start.

Can I stay during the groom?

Most dogs settle better without their owner there, so I ask you to drop off and I'll text you when they're ready.

What's your cancellation policy?

Please give me 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged half the groom price.

Book your dog in.

The quickest way to book is a text or WhatsApp. I'm usually grooming, so I reply between dogs, always the same day.
